Shock Records is very excited to announce that they have formed a brand new partnership with the legendary Earache Records.

With a catalogue that boasts some of the world’s heaviest bands, UK-based Earache Records are pioneers in extreme music. Founded in 1986 by Digby Pearson, Earache went on to foster acts such as Napalm Death, Morbid Angel and Deicide.

Now known worldwide as the label for all things extreme and innovative in music, Earache’s contribution to the underground scene is immense, having signed a remarkably high percentage of the leading acts in the genre, as well as selling over 10 million records in the process, all the time remaining a truly Independent label.

Earache’s commitment to innovation in the extreme metal scene remains as steadfast as the day it started in the bedroom back in the 80′s.

“Earache is delighted to join forces with Shock Records for distribution in Australia and New Zealand. The label has enjoyed tremendous support and interest from fans in the region since we began, and it feels great to have that grass roots support bolstered by the industrious and inventive folks at Shock working behind the scenes.

Everyone at Earache is very much looking forward to the future with great acts like Evile, Rival Sons, White Wizzard backed up by a legendary catalogue that is second to none in the world of extreme metal music.” – Dan Tobin, Earache UK

Leigh Gruppetta from Shock went on to say “partnering up with Earache again after all this time made complete sense to us, both parties are pioneers in their respective fields but have adapted well to the fast changing industry landscape to become progressive companies. We are very much looking forward to nurturing the prodigious Earache catalogue and developing the brilliant new acts they have breaking through. It’s an exciting time for Shock and we are thrilled to welcome Earache back to the family.”
